How does it work?
Project protocol is an anonymous parole officer rating app for people on parole. It is also a place where you can find and share resources to help with reentry. We will never sell, trade, or give data to law enforcement.
If you have any suggestions on how to make this app better contact us at info@projectprotocol.org.
Signing up for an account
You will need an email address to sign up and rate agents. To sign up, enter an email address and password that is at least 8 characters long. Then open your email app and find the email we sent you. Tap on the button in the email to confirm that this email address belongs to you.
Creating a review of your parole officer
Make sure you are on the "Rate my PO" page. Search for your parole officer by tapping on the search box and typing their name
Tap the name of the parole officer you wish to rate. If the parole officer has ratings, it will show up on their page. If you do not see their name, you can add them.
To rate the parole officer, tap on the "Rate" button at the top and fill out the form.
When you have a new encounter with your parole officer, you can create a new rating.
Rating the parole officer
Rate your parole officer from 1 to 5 on these questions. 1 is the lowest score and 5 is the highest score.
Is the parole officer helpful?
Is the parole officer caring?
Is the parole officer respectful?
Is the parole officer available?
Adding tags to the rating
Tags are words or phrases that you can choose to describe the parole officer. You are able to choose as many tags as you want.
Adding comments to the rating
This is where you can write more about your relationship with your parole officer. You can also use this space to explain more about your number ratings and tags. For example, how do you feel when your parole officer comes to visit? How did they meet your needs? How are they providing you or not providing you support? Why did you rate them the way you did?
Comments are hidden until approved. We may email you to make changes to your comment before sharing it with the public. We review comments for the following things:
Details of events that could identify you to a parole officer,
Personal information that could identify you to a parole officer,
Details about a parole officer that could put them at risk of personal harm, and
Descriptions of harmful activity.
