This first End-of-Year report is the result of 4 years of reflection, and we’re honored to share it with you. In 2024, we saw how deeply our communities are connected—through stagnant wages amid record inflation, the policing of student protesters, and the politicization of genocide during a critical election year. These moments remind us why transparency, accountability, and collective action are more important than ever.

The year ended with a parolee murdered by their officer, and now in early 2025, we’re witnessing the devastating damage and displacement from wildfires mismanaged by underfunded systems that exploit prison labor for profit. People are doing everything they can to survive, but the policies in place continue to fail us.
