The C.A.P.O. Center at Jail Guitar Doors (Community, Arts, Programming, & Outreach) exists to offer creative alternatives to vulnerable, under-resourced populations through music and arts education and paid apprenticeships. Our programs empower system-impacted and justice-involved youth to develop their talents and capacities; disrupt systemic root causes of inequality, poverty, and racism; and advocate for families and communities impacted by the carceral system.
